Et sted mellom fjellet og himmelen is how the Danish painter Kristian Zahrtmann described the town of Civita D'Antino. A century later, the connection between Abruzzo and Scandinavia is re-established. This time in the form of a collaboration between Palazzo Ferrante and the artist-run exhibition space, Hulias, in Oslo. The basement (cantina) of the old palace will now serve as a project space for Scandinavian and Italian artists.
The inaugural exhibition features Ada Nilsen (NO), Kristian Engelsen (NO), Aksel Ree (NO), Hedda Hørran (NO), Marthin Espeland (NO), Lars Nordby (NO), Kaare Ruud (NO), Mia Van Veen (NO), Kristoffer Zeiner (NO), Isak Wisløff (NO), Jørn Aagaard (NO) and Øyvind Bast (NO), based in Oslo, Amsterdam and Vishovgrad. This is a taste of the Norwegian contemporary art scene. Variations of mediums, techniques and materials will be presented. The exhibition opens on July 1st and will run throughout the summer.
